1 cup butter
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans (optional)
Mix together well. Dough should be stiff.
Chill for at least 2 hours, then roll into balls. Bake at 375 F for 16-20
minutes. Roll each cookie in additional confectioners sugar while still
hot.
