Cute Dimples About Morris Family Systems: Mark and Sandy Morris, the founders of Morris Family Systems, are happily residing in the suburban jungle known as Frisco, Texas. In this happy utopia, eerily reminiscent of The Stepford Wives, the men work, the women stay home, and everyone is ethnically homogenous, politically conservative, and dreadfully boring. It comes as an uneasy surprise to Mark and Sandy that they too are ethnically homogenous, politically conservative (well, mostly), and dreadfully boring. Until medical science can develop a cure for these afflictions, Mark and Sandy are going to enjoy their little slice of suburbia. Mark is still happily employed at JCPenney’s Corporate HQ as a Human Resources Research Consultant. He defended his dissertation proposal on October 10 and may or may not have a Ph.D. by the time you read this letter. (He’s close, folks!) He is a founding member of the newly formed Dallas Area I/O Psychologists (DAIOP) and serves as the webmaster. Sandy gave birth to Colin Alexander Morris on February 8, 2002. She is staying home with the kids and is actively involved in the MOMS Club of Frisco. She publishes their monthly newsletter and is the chairperson of the Sunshine Committee, which makes dinner and runs errands for members who have had babies or are ill. She is keeping her technical writing skills up to date by maintaining a website for the International Navigation Association (father-in-law Peter is a founding member) and revising user manuals for Sage Automation (father Steve is a founding partner). She hopes that someday she will again draw a salary from someone who isn’t related to her. Caroline has changed preschools. She loves the indoor playground at her new school, and especially loves that she only attends three days a week. Her favorite pastimes include tickling her beloved brother Colin, helping Mommy cook, and playing a variety of online "edutainment" games. She is also sporting a short new haircut. Attempts to discuss certain rumors that this new look is related to an incident with unattended scissors will be met with "No Comment." Colin is a delightfully easygoing baby, who loves his sister more than anything else in the world. He can sit up, roll over, crawl on all fours, and beg for food; so, basically, there is no difference between Colin and a puppy. Photos of the kids can be seen on our web site: http://mmorris.www5.50megs.com With two small children in the house, an uninterrupted night’s sleep is a rare and prized commodity. As a result, you can be certain that we are particularly heartfelt when we say: Merry Christmas to All and To All a Good Night! |
